Get involved

'A Future in Food' is currently recruiting food and drink manufacturers and schools to be part of this innovative programme.

Our National Co-ordinator works to broker the relationships between schools and manufacturers, to make it as easy as possible to get involved in 'A Future in Food'.

19 companies across Scotland are already working with 'A Future in Food' However, we need more companies, more schools and more foot soldiers on the ground so we hope you will give your support to our programme and become an ambassador for the food and drink industry so that more people can experience “A Future in Food”.

Each project is tailored to the individual companies' and schools depending on the nature of their business and the interests of the school.

The subject areas that the projects can cover are broad. To give you an idea of what is possible SFDF has prepared five industry briefings on key issues to explain how these issues can be translated into themes within the Curriculum for Excellence and also how the can be used to promote careers in our industry.

Each project is unique and will be developed for each company and school partnership brokered within 'A Future in Food'.

For a flavour of the projects currently underway within a 'Future in Food' please see some case studies below.
