The Community
Food and drink manufacturers are proud of the close links they have with the
communities in which they operate – and the ways in which they make a positive
difference to the everyday lives of local people.
The industry's commmitment in this arena is long-standing; it stems from time
before it was defined as 'Corporate Social Responsibility'.
This section contains examples of how our members are forging links with their
local communities and with consumers.
The Environment
FDF members are committed to making a significant contribution to improving the
environment by targeting priorities where they can make the biggest difference.
The company case studies in this section include: cutting CO2 emissions; zero waste to landfill; reducing packaging; reducing water use;
fewer transport miles.
Reformulation
The research case studies from our 'Recipe for Change' report describing how
food and drink manufacturers are developing new products, and refreshing old
favourite brands, so that they are lower in calories, fat, or salt.
