environment by targeting priorities where they can make the biggest difference.
The company case studies in this section include: cutting CO2 emissions; zero waste to landfill; minimising packaging; reducing water use;
fewer transport miles.
Food and drink manufacturers are proud of the close links they have with the
communities in which they operate – and the ways in which they make a positive
difference to the everyday lives of local people.
The industry's commmitment in this arena is long-standing; it stems from time
before it was defined as 'Corporate Social Responsibility'.
